Thank you, Dick. You were a good friend to all. For many years, we looked forward to and enjoyed the positive the messages you posted on the fence at the back of your home. On a personal note, you were Santa to many elementary school students at Calumet School, and they enjoyed the time they spent with you. As we all did.

Hi Dad, We got through the wake and Funeral... I think you would have been pleased with our choices. Sandy, Ted, and I have spent time together making the arrangements. I'm so glad that we have a brother as a support now. Renee surprised us with a man playing bagpipes as your casket was carried out, and also he performed Amazing Grace at the cemetery Chapel - you would have liked that. Maddy, Renee's daughter and my Godchild, played "Nearer My God To Thee" on the Cello. It was the last song played by the Titanic's band as the steam liner sank beneath the Atlantic waves. I feel that you were there, listening to the music and to presenters who spoke, and even you would have shed a tear. You were so loved by many. Your Olds supper club members attended and Bill drove his Buick to the cemetery. There were many tears, but we spoke of humor and there was laughter too. This morning Sandy & I went to the cemetery to visit your grave - OMG, it breaks my heart to even say those words, because it is hard to make them sink into my head. Life without you is so very sad and lonely. We then went to Michael's to eat in your honor and drop off a memory card. I shall always mourn for you, and the tears will flow..I love you Dad, Tuff xoxoxo

Dad, my buddy, my friend, that's what you used to tell me and I will never forget. When I found you, you looked so peaceful, I knew your last wish had been fulfilled. We laid you to rest yesterday, and there were tears of love shown by so many, but there was laughter also, and that's what you wanted. I had 68 years with you, and it would take at least another 68 to learn all your wisdoms. I know you will watch over us, and lead us in the right direction. I will miss you so much, you are my rock. Love you to the moon and back, and then some, Babe xoxoxoxo

To my dearest loving Dad. I'm sorry that I didn't stay with you longer on Wednesday evening. I now have so many questions to ask you...questions that will never be answered. I cannot understand, with all the times Sandy and I were with you, why could not one of us have been with you at the end, holding your hand and telling you how much we love you? I kissed your sweet face and placed your head on a pillow...Brandi was with me, but refused to be comforted. I know that you did not want us to cry, but please understand that we will. We knew this was coming, but we struggled to delay the inevitable. I pray that you are with Marge now, I know that is what you wanted more than any thing...that is the only comfort I take in your leaving us. I am comforted, knowing that you had Last Rites and felt peace. I shall miss you and always cry. I don't know who to go to now when the burden becomes more than I can bear. I am so sorry that I didn't tell you how wonderful I always thought you were, how bright, and kind, and loving you were. Please forgive my shortcomings - I shall always love you. Please let my Tiffy and Mom know how much I love and miss them too. A piece of my heart left with you. All my love forever and always, Tuff xoxoxoxo
