Uncle Dave is fondly remembered as a kind and generous man. He always had a smile on his face and made those around him smile and laugh along with him. Our thoughts are with Ruth and family as his life is celebrated today.

Ruth
I extend my sincere condolences to you in your loss. I worked for several years for Dave and he was one of the true gentlemen in the business, a man of boundless energy, unquestioned integrity, and a great sense of humor. We enjoyed numerous road trips to Indiana on the Schaeffer 17&18 project and I will always cherish fond memories of Dave.
Sincerely,
Jeff

Words cannot express the deep sadness I feel with the passing of Dave. He has always held a special place in my heart, and was like a second dad to me. He had a warm smile, kindness, and ability to connect with everyone he met. I have been blessed to know your family and enjoy the love, fun, and teasing that has always been present in your home. Spending time with Dave and Ruth on the patio this summer with my daughter Caroline was priceless for both of us. We truly enjoyed every minute!

2 Timothy 4:7 -- I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me a crown of righteousness. My heartfelt sympathy, Ruth, is with you and your family. How hard it is to say good-bye to such a good man. You were lucky to have him in your lives.

I have so many fond and fun memories of Dave. Some of the best were up at CedarHurst working on projects during the day and then wonderful long dinners and conversations in the evening. Dave was one of the absolute kindest humans and could take some serious fun teasing from his kids and their friends. I am so lucky to have known him. Much love to Ruth and the whole family
