Beloved husband of Nancy R. nee Nielsen, loving father of Melissa Griggs, the late Shannon Murphy, Brendan (Sarah) Murphy and Mary Claire Murphy, devoted grandfather of Ashley, Ariana, Cash, Erik and Isla, dear brother of Mary Pat (George) Harvey and Kevin (Deedy) Murphy. Visitation Monday, October 26, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Chapel prayers Tuesday, 9:30 am from the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, then to St. Cajetan Church, 2445 W. 112th St., Chicago for mass at 11:00 am. Cremation private.
