Henry (Hank) was a long time friend and fellow member of the 218 Faculty Bowling League. I had the pleasure of knowing his family and having his daughters as students at DDE. May God Bless you in many happy memories of a wonderful member of God's servants.

I only worked a few years with Hank during his final years at District #218, in the 80's, He was quite the Mentor to me in my early years working in the Custodial/Maintenance Dept. @ Shepard H.S. I appreciate him "showing me the way." Rest in Peace!

Hank used to drive me and my family to Mission Covenant Church in their church van every Sunday. Thank you Hank for getting my Grandma to come to church with us. Hank always added a ray of sunshine wherever he went in Blue Island. His jokes will be missed!

Uncle Hank, Retired DDE High School Grounds and Facilities Maint. Employee who would stop myself and friends in hallway to share plenty of his well known jokes. AKA the Window washer of Blue Island and Riverdale who used his Son Gerald Runge and multiple nephews to assist him with his work after we got home from school. Henry taught all of us how to work hard and take pride in what we do. Uncle Hank will be missed by many friends and family.

Uncle Hank always made me me laugh and gave my son good advice when leaving for boot camp. He always made it point to go the extra distance to just say hi to me and my family. We will all miss and cherish his memory.

To the entire Runge Family,
I am so sad and sorry to hear of Uncle Hank's passing. He was a constant bright light in our family and his jokes, laughter and shining spirit will be greatly missed. They are all together now and I'm sure they have realized there is nowhere to hide from Uncle Hank and his jokes. I know I will not be able to see a silver dollar and not think of him and Aunt Connie. May his memory bring you all peace and comfort.
