One of my favorite memories of Grandma is the time she made a special trip to visit me in Champaign IL. We went to a garden center to just 'look around'. Well, 5 minutes in she decided we should grab a baby cart, 10 minutes later she decided we needed a bigger cart, 30 minutes later she decided we need a flatbed cart for all her flowers. She would pick which flowers she wanted and it was my job to dig through a jungle of plants to find the perfect one for her while she supervised.
After all that flower hunting, it was time to eat. My mom and I took her to get hamburgers and french fries, which are one of her favorites. My mom kept telling her to not eat too many Cajun fries because they were salty and not good for her. With one flick of the wrist, we knew that basket of fries was all hers.
I cherish these personal memories and absolutely adore being her personal shopper and errand girl.
I love you more than words and emotions can describe. You are more than just a grandmother to me, you're my best friend, forever and always.

I'll always cherish her hugs, phone calls and the loving advice she's given me over the years. Most I use and practice daily, like embracing paper plates, never having just one garbage bag and putting family first. My favorite memories will be the time we spent cooking for each other, talking and laughing. Followed by getting threatened for wanting to split garlic bread so instead you got your own loaf. I miss you and love you so much.

My most cherished memories of my mother are the countless times she brought home cookies from Party Cookies. I can still picture her walking through the door after her shift, shaking that little white bag of cookies in her hand with a clear transparent window. My favorite cookie was the chocolate macaroon but truthfully the cookie didn’t matter. It was the love and smiles she brought with her as she handed me the bag. As I reflect on this memory, I realize how much she cared and loved me. It was in this small gesture that I felt her love and thoughtfulness.

I remember when Grandma took care of me when my mom was out of town, and it was just me and her hanging out every day for a week. I would leave for school and watch her lay down for a nap, and when I would come back at the end of day she'd be in the exact same spot to greet me. It was funny to me knowing I'd be gone for hours and all she'd do was nap the whole time I was out. And to me it definitely became her "spot". Love you so much, and know that there will always be a spot for you in my heart just like you had your spot on the couch.
