Ms. McDowell was the sweetest, kindest, most gracious lady. She and my Grandmother Violet Kogut were good friends and always attended Mass and Novena together on Tuesdays. They kept all their loved ones in their prayers which strengthened their hope in the Lord and provided peace and comfort for those in need. I am sure they are together praying in Heaven right now! Mary was at all the St. Benedict church functions and Women's Club dinners which my mom, Joyce and I (Joan) got to attend. Mary always had a smile and a kind word. She used to mail me coupons for diapers and baby products when my three daughters were small. So very thoughtful. :) I was very glad to know her.

Mary was my Mom's great friend and cousin. They shared a deep bond with life long visits and Sunday afternoon phone calls which i continued after my Mother passed in 2015. My son and I will greatly miss her and loved talking to her keeping her informed of our daily lives and sending pictures of my son and our dogs. She had a great laugh and Irish wit. She was on top of current Events and offered a well appreciated rosary very often. She was a wonderful person. A living example for us of kindness and generosity without judgements. I will also miss the last connection to my Mom. I know there was a Great Irish welcome for her in heaven ☘️
