Ms. McDowell was the sweetest, kindest, most gracious lady. She and my Grandmother Violet Kogut were good friends and always attended Mass and Novena together on Tuesdays. They kept all their loved ones in their prayers which strengthened their hope in the Lord and provided peace and comfort for those in need. I am sure they are together praying in Heaven right now!
Mary was at all the St. Benedict church functions and Women's Club dinners which my mom, Joyce and I (Joan) got to attend. Mary always had a smile and a kind word. She used to mail me coupons for diapers and baby products when my three daughters were small. So very thoughtful. :) I was very glad to know her.
