Obituary of Bonnie L. Reardon

Bonnie L. Reardon nee Dohl, passed from this life Saturday, June 6, 2020. Bonnie is the beloved wife of Ronald H. Reardon. The couple were united in marriage in 1969. She is the devoted mother of Michael (Marites) Reardon. Bonnie is the loving sister of Darlene (the late John) Burke, Sherry (Bruno) Tucker, Patty (Greg) Berent and Dawn (Rod) Coty. She is the dear aunt of many nieces and nephews and leaves numerous friends to cherish her memory. Bonnie was born September 24, 1941 in Chicago to the late Bette nee Burke and Henry Dohl. She has resided in Blue Island since 1955 and was a graduate of B.I. Community High School. Bonnie attended IL State University. She worked as a nurses aid at St. Francis Hospital in her younger years and taught basketball at the local high schools. Bonnie was dedicated to the Blue Island Community especially with the children. She was instrumental in the Tiny Tots Pre-School Program at the Blue Island Park District, where she taught for thirty years. Bonnie was actively involved in Blue Island Westside Little League. Through these programs, Bonnie was a positive influence in the lives of many generations of Blue Island children. Her warm smile, patience and love for the children was apparent to all those who knew her. She loved sports and teaching art. Bonnie enjoyed bowling and was active in many bowling leagues. She was a former member of the Elks. Visitation for Bonnie will be private followed by a private interment at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery.
