Obituary of Robert A. Filewicz

Robert A. Filewicz, lifelong resident of Blue Island, passed from this life on Thursday, April 4, 2019. He was 67 years old. Bob was the beloved son of late Aloysius Filewicz and the late Alfreda nee Klimek and the loving brother of Allan Filewicz, Richard (Cathy) Filewicz and the late Kenneth Filewicz. He is the cherished uncle of Diana Cantway and Michelle Kreis and the dear great uncle of Ryan Cantway, Justin Cantway, Trent Kreis and Lukas Kreis.

Bob was formerly employed as an electrical salesman and worked for many years as the maintenance man for St. Isidore Parish in Blue Island.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 7, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will begin Monday 9:15 am with chapel prayers at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, then to St. Benedict Church, 2339 York St., Blue Island for Mass at 10:00 am. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip.
