Obituary of Lawrence E Hupe

Lawrence E. Hupe, 75, of Palos Heights, passed from this life Monday, December 24, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Marsha L. nee Andersen, who passed away February 16, 2013. Larry is the loving and proud father of Christopher (Susan) Hupe, Jennifer (Gregory) Castor and Sara Hupe. He is the cherished grandfather of Cameron, Nathan, Jonathan and Grace. Larry was the dear brother of the late Carol Redemske. He is the fond son-in-law of Miriam(the late Donald) Andersen and brother-in-law of Thomas (Kathy) Andersen, Susan (George) Nugent, Paul (Debbie) Andersen and Leslie (the late Mike) Konsoer and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Larry leaves many friends to cherish his memory.

Lawrence formerly held the office of Worth Township School Treasurer for over thirty years. He was a faithful member of the Ev. Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd serving on the Finance Committee and was formerly the chairperson. Larry served on the Board of Directors of Blue Cap for many years and was a member of the Deacons. He was a former member and past president of the Blue Island Lions Club.

Larry enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and friends. His welcoming  smile, infectious laughter warm hugs will be missed by many. He found great pleasure spending time at his lake homes and was an avid fisherman.

 Visitation for Lawrence will be held Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. He will lie in state Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at The Ev. Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 7800 W. McCarthy Rd., Palos Heights. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery, Oak Lawn. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Blue Cap.( info@blue-cap.org   2155 Broadway St. Blue Island, IL 60406)
