Obituary of Arturo Urdiales Campos

Arturo U. Campos, 91, of Blue Island, formerly of South Chicago, passed from this life Wednesday, August 8, 2018.

Arturo is the beloved husband of Sylvia C. nee Perez. He is the loving father of Arturo (Lucy) Campos Jr. and the late Stephanie (Richard) Bonelli. Arturo is the proud grandfather of Niko Vincent Bonelli, Seth Jacob Campos and Michael Bryce Campos. He is the dear brother of Margarito, the late Maria Luisa, the late Francisco, Ester, Sara and Carmen. Arturo leaves loving friends and family members to cherish his memory, including many nieces and nephews in Monterrey, Mexico.

Arturo was a retired employee of US Steel where he was a crane operator. He also sold jewelry. Arturo loved nature and was a gifted gardener. His family owned and operated a rose nursery in Mexico and he brought those traditions to his home in Blue Island. The family's yard is full of beautiful maple trees that he grew from saplings. He also tended to many vegetables, herbs and flowers and produced a lush garden.

Cremation for Arturo will be private.
