Obituary of Frank C. Salapatek

Frank C. Salapatek, 93, of Blue Island, passed from this life Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Frank is the beloved husband of Sophie Barbara nee Sulka. He is the loving father of Jim Salapatek, Jerry Salapatek, Larry Salapatek, Susan (Jim) Blum, John (David White) Salapatek and Ricky (Suzie) Salapatek. Frank is the devoted grandfather of Drew (Mette-Marie) Salapatek, Donna (Amit) Raval and the late Harry Blum and the proud great grandfather of Kaya Raval. He is the dear brother of Michael Salapatek and the late Joseph, Edward, Andrew and Frances.

Frank was a United States Navy veteran serving in WWII. He was a life long resident of Blue Island and founded Burr Oak Television in 1951. Frank was a member of Builder's Tee and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was an avid bowler and golfer.

Cremation was private.
