Obituary of Mitzi Shandro

Mitzi Shandro, 92, lifelong resident of Blue Island, passed from this life Tuesday, April 3, 2018.

She was the beloved wife of the late Ellery L. Shandro, who passed away July 1, 2007. Mitzi is the beloved mother of Mark (Elizabeth) Shandro, Michelle (Rob) Piper, David (Anna) Shandro and Beth (Greg) Gericke. She is the devoted grandmother of Brandon, Melissa, Brittany, Courtney, Mallory, Lindsay, Ian, Jenna, Genevieve and Jake, adored great grandmother of eleven.

Mitzi is the dear sister of Emily Pershall and Josephine Olson and the late Pasquale, Mary, Tony and Arlene.

Mitzi was a devoted homemaker and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially liked to prepare delicious meals for her family and friends.

Chapel prayers for Mitzi will begin Friday, April 6, 2018 at 9:15 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, then to St. Benedict Church, 2339 York St., Blue Island for mass at 10:00 am.

Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.
