Obituary of Shirley Mae Burgess

Shirley M. Burgess, 91, of Orland Park, formerly of Midlothian and Blue Island. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick B. Burgess, who passed away in 1997.  The couple were united in marriage May 11, 1946. Shirley is the loving mother of Frederick Bruce Burgess Jr. and Heidi Witasik. She is the devoted grandmother of Kristin Witasik and the proud great grandmother of Raymond Frederick and Vivian. Shirley was the dear sister of the late Evalyne (late Tom) Burgess.

 Shirley resided in Blue Island from birth until 1957, then relocated to Midlothian for twenty years. She then moved to Orland Park in 1977. Shirley was employed for twenty-five years by Oak Forest Hospital as an admitting officer.

Visitation for Shirley will be held Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, at 11:00 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Interment will take place at Beverly Cemetery, Chicago.
