Obituary of Samuel J. Vera

Samuel J. Vera of Chicago, age 83 and veteran of the United States Air Force, died Friday, May 26, 2017 at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Evergreen Park. Samuel is the beloved husband of the late Sandra Lee nee Powers and the loving father of Joaquin Vera, Juan Vera, Maria (Mike) Vera-Panozzo, Michael Vera, late Samuel Vera, late Theresa Vera and the late Vivian (late Robbie) Green. He is the cherished grandfather of Virginia, Candice, Vedo, Lenny, Amber, Samantha, Sean, Joaquin, Eleana, Julius, Gregorio, Dante', Shante', Juan, Victor, Vaz, Brandon, Antonio and MiaBella. Samuel is the proud great grandfather and great great grandfather of many and the dear brother of Joaquin (Dee) Vera.

Visitation for Samuel will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Cremation will be private.
