Dear Kirk and Family,
Sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was one of my favorite people from Cal Park. We had many laughs. She was a special lady. I know she will be missed.
E-mail me and we can meet for a drink in Mom's honor.
Sincerely yours,

So very sorry for your loss. Joan and my Mom were friends from high school over 60 years ago. Their friendship continued through their monthly club catching up on each others families. She was definitely always the life of the party making everyone laugh. Thinking of all of you <3

I worked for Claumet School as a young teacher. Joan was a blast! Her personality lent itself to your being able to laugh at the situations around you -as uncommical as they may have seemed. That was her point, don't sweat the small stuff. God bless her and her family... Debbie, Mike, and the rest of the family my deepest sympathies.

Mrs. Klein was a wonderful woman, I remember her in the lunch room at school always fair and a respectful person especially with kids like me at the time who I'm sure where quite a handful for her. I had the honor of growing up with her lovely daughter Debbie whom was clearly a wonderful person just like her Mom. To Debbie and the Klein family my thoughts and prayers are with you all in this difficult time, may the lord Jesus comfort you Debbie and you're family.

Dear Debbie we would like to extend our deepest condolences to you and your family. Your mother was dear to me growing up in Calumet Park. She was a dear friend to my mother at Calumet School, and our family. She spoke her mind and often watched over not only me but many other children who grew up in Calumet Park. May God comfort you and your family.

Joan you will be dearly missed. We were friends for 64 years, raised our families together via birthday parties, beach parties and trips with the kids downtown at Christmas. We had our Club once a month, in the evenings when our kids were little, changing to lunch as we got older. We kidded that soon we'd be switching to breakfast!! We enjoyed many trips with our husbands and also Ladies Only trips. You were always the life of the party! You were famous for your one-liners and constant jokes. It breaks our hearts to lose you. You were always so bubbly and on the go. Goodbye for now, until we meet again!
