Obituary of Dorothy Arnott

Dorothy Arnott, nee Witkowski, 93, of Blue Island, was called home to be with the Lord on May 13, 2016. Mrs. Arnott was the beloved wife of the late Alfred Arnott, who passed from this life January 21, 1968. The couple was united in marriage August 3, 1946. Dorothy was the loving mother of Gerald “Al” (Beverly) Arnott, and William (Patricia) Arnott, and was preceded in death by her son, James Arnott. She was the devoted grandmother of Steven Arnott, Danielle Arnott, Dominique (Justin) Batt, and Edgar Jason (Monica) Arnott, and the cherished great-grandmother of Hunter, Morgan, Isabella and Parker. Dorothy was the dear sister of Loretta Pavlik, and was preceded in death by siblings Walter Witkowski, Angie Wineclaw, Violet Nowak, Lottie Bucher, and Joseph Winters. Dorothy resided in Blue Island for 20 years until moving to Smith Village in 1998. A memorial visitation will be held for Dorothy on Monday, May 23, 2016 from 9:00am until the time of memorial service at 11:00am at the Krueger Funeral Home 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. A private interment will take place at St. Casimir Cemetery, Chicago. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
