Obituary of Gerald A. Ruder

Gerald A. Ruder, 79, of Plainfield, formerly of Blue Island. He is the beloved husband of Elinor E. nee Olliges. Gerald is the loving father of Rhonda (Donald) Hanks, Brynda (Larry) Gonzalez, Gwen (Gabe) Sanford and the late John (Mary Jo) Pogue. He is the devoted grandfather of ten and the proud great grandfather of eight. Gerald is the dear brother of the late Eldon Ruder and Marvin Ruder. Gerald is a member of Millwrights Local #1693. He is a former member of the Blue Island Eagles and Elks Club. Visitation Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Funeral service Friday, 11:00 am at Christ Memorial United Church of Christ, 2440 York St., Blue Island. Cremation private. Memorial donations to Christ Memorial United Church of Christ greatly appreciated.
