Irene M. Johnson nee Esche, 96, lifelong resident of Blue Island. Beloved wife of the late Wayne Johnson and the late Howard Herzog. Loving mother of Karen (late Paul) Kirchdoerfer and Eliot Johnson. Cherished grandmother of Nanette DeMarsh, Gayle (Eric) Seversen and Leslie (Jim) Woods. Proud great grandmother of Lauren, Gunnar, Margaret, Andrew, Matthew and Nathan. Visitation Wednesday, Sept. 9, 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Service Thursday 11:00 am at First Ev. Lutheran Church, 2519 W. Grove St., Blue Island. Interment First Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, Alsip.
