Tribute & Message From The Family Edward Wayne DeWitt, 79, of Blue Island, veteran of US Army, beloved husband of Helen nee Eaton, loving father of Michael (Sheri) Haislet, Kenneth (Laura) DeWitt and Robert DeWitt, devoted grandfather of Kenny, Katie, Jacob, Angeleen, Brielle, Race, Preston and Kerisa, proud great grandfather of Alexus and Connor, dear brother of Timothy (Lea) and the late Lynn (Theresa). Wayne worked as a baker for a total of 53 years, including 10 years of employment for Iversons Bakery of Blue Island. Wayne also served as a Fire Fighter for the Blue Island and Palos Heights Fire Departments, and was a member of the American Legion, Blue Island Post 50.
