Ma Carrier,
I don't know where to start, I have so many fond memories. You were my second mom, my home away from home. I remember sleeping over at your house many times. You, Sallie, Fran and I would make Appian Way pizzas and watch Cubs games. I recall taking my first shower at your house and leaving the shower curtain outside the tub. Water everywhere!! You were peeved! I didn't know any better, we didn't have one, just a tub. I remember all those trips to Winona Lake, Center Lake and the dunes. All those beaches and you never got out of the car, it was too hot for you!! I remember when I lived on Edbrooke and you would pick me up to go out somewhere, I always marveled at how you were able to keep that Studebaker from rolling back down the hill on your way up to Michigan Ave. I still can't drive a stick shift. You did so much for me and I loved you for it! Rest in peace, Dear Sweet Lady!!

I will always remember you not only as my friends mom but as my "choir mom" with the sunshine choir at Bethany Church. You were always a kind and loving lady. Rest in peace Mrs. Carrier

Grams - I'm tearing up reading what Sal and Amie wrote. Just wished I would have come out there and saw you one last time. I never forget the story Aaron told me about him ridding in the car with you and you blew a stop sign and Aaron said "Gram - you just blew a stop sign" and you said "That's ok honey - I will stop twice tomorrow" Still cracks me up! Hope you are in a better place and thank you for everything. Hopefully the Cubs will win it for you this year! Just one year late.......or a 100. Go Cubs! Love Jimmy

Gram,
You were the best! Always willing to take us for sleepovers and make us our morning tea "Boston style".......a quick phone call "Gram, can I come sleep over?" and you'd be on your way "give or take a train". You gave me the only sports related foundation I've ever had by taking me to Cubs games.....so much fun!....bringing with our trusty bag of Snaps to snack on....maybe you can help them win a world series now! :-) You lived an incredible and long life and were able to see and do many amazing things. I know you are now at Peace and in a beautiful place. I am thankful for that, as I know your journey to get there was long. Rest peacefully and know that we appreciate you and the time we had with you here. You always were and always will be such a big part of my life. We love you so much. God Bless.
