Obituary of Jose Guadalupe Frausto

Jose Guadalupe Frausto, 92, of Blue Island, passed from this life on Monday, August 12, 2024.

Jose was born on September 4, 1931 in Zacatecas, Mexico to the late Julian Frausto and the late Consuelo Castillo de Frausto.  He is the beloved husband of Esther Sanchez de Frausto.   They have been united in marriage for seventy-two years. Jose is the devoted father to Javier (late Carmen), the late Elvia (late Alfredo) Ortiz, the late Guadalupe Jr. (Ciria), Jorge (Lisa), Jaime, Enrique (Sandy), Art (Laura) and Elizabeth (Pete) Frausto-Smith.  He is the dear brother of Salvador (Olivia), the late Rebecca (late Refugio) Castaneda, the late Mario, the late Cruz (late Antonia), Antonio (Vasillia), Reynaldo and Imelda (Benjamin) Lagunas.  Jose is the loving grandfather to twenty-four, great grandfather and great great grandfather to many.  He leaves many other dear family members and friends to cherish his memory.

Visitation for Jose will be held Monday, August 19, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Avenue, Blue Island. Chapel prayers will begin Tuesday at 9:15 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, then to St. Benedict Church/St. Mary Magdalene Parish, 2339 York St., Blue Island for mass at 10:00 am.  Interment will take place at St. Benedict Cemetery in Crestwood.
