Obituary of Roberto Frausto

Roberto Frausto, of Blue Island, passed from this life on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at the age of seventy-three.

Roberto was born on December 15, 1950 in Pastoria, Zacatecas, Mexico to the late Manuel Lopez and the late Maria del Refugio Frausto.  He is the beloved husband of Silvia Frausto.   They have been united in marriage for fifty-one years. Roberto is the loving father to Roberto E. (Claudia), Eric (Yajaira), Marlon (Rebecca), Nancy (Aurelio) Gandarilla, Jairo (Monica) and Wendy (Carlos Plascencia).  He is the cherished brother of Juan, Estela, Jose Ausencio, Rosa, Gema and Martin.  Roberto is the devoted grandfather to fourteen and great grandfather to two.  He leaves many other dear family members and friends to cherish his memory.

Roberto loved traveling to his hometown in Estancia de Animas, Zacatecas, Mexico, at least annually, where he enjoyed spending time in the garden and enjoying the fresh fruits.  He had a passion for life, enjoying food and music.  As the patriarch he was a great role model to all his family. He was a hard worker providing for his family and helping anyone in any way that he could.  He did so by working at St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island for over 35 years and establishing El Perfecto Cleaning.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation for Roberto will be held Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Avenue, Blue Island. Chapel prayers will begin Friday at 9:15 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, then to St. Benedict Church/St. Mary Magdalene Parish, 2339 York St., Blue Island for mass at 10:00 am.  Interment will take place at St. Benedict Cemetery in Crestwood.  If you would like to contribute in Roberto’s memory, donations to the family are greatly appreciated.
