Obituary of Kevin Merriman

Kevin Merriman, 73, of Warrenville, former longtime resident of Blue Island, at rest July 25, 2024. Proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and was very fond of the Veterans Administration and all they did for its veterans. Born July 8, 1951 in Chicago, IL to Michael and Grace Merriman (deceased). Beloved brother of Mary (Ruth Stetter) Merriman, David (Eleanor), Grace (Tom) Bell, Dominic (Joy), Rita Wilson, Rebecca (Jim) Lorenz and the late Michael (Annemarie), the late Anne (the late Al) Maki and the late Theresa (David) Young; loving uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews. Kevin studied Computer Science at the Univ. of Ill., he enjoyed technology, jazz and blues music, and professional sports. Rebuilding computers was one of his favorite pastimes, especially for family members. Above all Kevin was very devoted to his family and avidly pursued their genealogy. 

A memorial visitation for Kevin will be held Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm, with the memorial service taking place at 3:30 pm, at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Ave., Blue Island.  Interment will be held at Abraham Lincoln National VA Cemetery in Elwood on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 11:00 am.
