Socorro Santoyo de Navarro, of Blue Island, passed from this life on Monday, July 29, 2024 at the age of ninety-eight.

Socorro was born on May 13, 1926 in Texas to the late Marcelino Santoyo and the late Maria Alvarez. She was the beloved wife of the late Rafael Navarro of Blue Island. Socorro is the loving mother to the late Carmen (late Liboreo), Rosa, Raul (Rosa), Noberto (Maria), Estela (Jesus), Delia (Hector) Arroyo, Martin (Rosina), Socorro (Jesus) Jimenez, Maria (Jose) Lopez, Olga and Rafael. She is the cherished sister of Julia, Rosalio and Marcelino. Socorro is the devoted grandmother and great grandmother to many. She leaves many other dear family members and friends to cherish her memory.

Visitation for Socorro will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Avenue, Blue Island. Chapel prayers will begin Thursday at 9:15 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, then to St. Donatus Church, 1939 Union St., Blue Island for mass at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at St. Casimir Cemetery in Chicago.
