Manuel Gerardo Almazan of Blue Island passed from this life Monday, May 27, 2024 at the age of sixty-three.

Manuel is the beloved father of Lizet (Eugenio) Gil and Victoria Almazan. He is the proud grandfather of Kristopher, Jaelyne, Julissa, Aubrie, Enrique Jr. and Reuel. Manuel is the loving brother of Rosa Maria, Rebecca, Rafael, Tomas, Juana and Francisco.

Manuel was born August 21, 1960 to the late Manuel Almazan and the late Engracia Ramos. He enjoyed living life to its fullest, traveling and spending his time helping others. Manuel especially loved going to Mexico and visiting with his family. He will be remembered as “the life of the party” telling jokes and making friends along the way.

Visitation for Manuel will be held Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Chapel prayers will begin Monday at 9:15 am and then to St. Donatus Church, 1939 Union St., Blue Island, for mass at 10:00 am. Cremation will be private.
