James Fleischman, of Beecher, passed from this life Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the age of seventy.

James is the beloved husband of Laura nee DeChristopher. He is the devoted father of Linda (Tom) Allen, George Fleischman and Nicholas (Giselle) Fleischman and the proud grandfather of Elise Allen, Julia Allen and Luca Fleischman. James is the cherished brother of John (Rose) Fleischman, Steve (Lois) Fleischman and the late Virginia (late Tom) Griffin. He is the dear brother in law of Anita Murray, Tina (Lisa) DeChristopher, Angie DeChrisopher, Gina (John) Meares, the late Anthony DeChristopher and the late Linda DeChristopher. James is the caring uncle of many nieces and nephews. He leaves many other family members and friends to cherish his memory.

James was born March 10, 1953 in Chicago to the late Phyllis nee East and George F. Fleischman. He embraced his role as husband and father with warmth and guidance. James was a hardworking man and a proud Union Roofer of Local 11. He was a strong supporter of South Suburban Special Rec and could be found cheering the teams on during the special events. James was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time on the campground with his family and friends. He liked rock music, especially the Rolling Stones!

Visitation for James will be held Monday, January 22, 2024 from 9:00 am until 12:30 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Interment will take place at Mt. Greenwood Cemetery in Chicago.
