Evelyn Garcia nee Calvillo, of Blue Island, passed from this life Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the age of ninety-two.
Evelyn was born September 14, 1931 in Chicago to the late Joseph and Mary nee Jaso Calvillo. She was preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters and the beloved “Aunt Val” to numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She leaves many other dear family members and friends to cherish her memory.
Evelyn was formerly employed by for Blue Cross/Blue Shield. She was a faithful member of St. Benedict Church/St. Mary Magdalene Parish. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved solving crossword puzzles and reading a great novel.
Visitation for Evelyn will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 from 9:00 am until time of prayers at 10:00 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip.
