Obituary of Ramona Norrell

Ramona Norrell nee Lugo, of Blue Island, passed from this life Monday, December 4, 2023 at the age of ninety.

Ramona is the beloved mother of Juanita (late Jack) Goodwin, the late Kayo Juarez, Raymond (Debra) Juarez, Robert (Diane) Juarez, the late Michael Juarez, the late Mark Juarez, Stephan (Debbie) Juarez and Stephanie Juarez. Ramona is the devoted grandmother of eighteen, cherished great grandmother of fifteen and loving great great grandmother of one. She is the dear sister of Sandra O’Connor, Margaret Mucha, Charlie Lugo, the late Raymond Lugo and Michael Lugo. Ramona is the former wife of the late Jack Norrell. She leaves many other family members and friends to cherish her memory.

Ramona was born October 8, 1933 in Chicago to the late Raymond and Ramona nee Contreras Lugo. She was proud to be the matriarch of this loving family and took pleasure in making beautiful memories with them. Ramona had many interests including bowling and crocheting, however she truly enjoyed playing bingo and took great pride in her garden, flowers, and handmade crafts..

A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 2:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Cremation was private.
