Obituary of Raymond J. Piotroski

Raymond J. Piotroski, of Chicago, formerly of Blue Island, passed from this life Monday, October 23, 2023 at the age of eighty-three.

Raymond is the beloved husband of Shirley nee Buczek. The couple have been united in marriage for fifty-seven years. He is the proud father of Joseph (Carolyn) Piotroski. Raymond is the loving brother of Richard Piotroski and the late Mary Lou (Glenn) Livingston and Susan Piotroski. He is the dear uncle and great uncle of many. Raymond leaves many other family members and friends to cherish his memory.

Raymond was born February 25, 1940 in Blue Island to the late Nellie nee Augustine and the late Raymond J. Piotroski Sr.  He proudly served his country in the US Army from 1963 to 1965. Retired employee of the Rock Island Railroad. Raymond was an avid White Sox fan who also enjoyed watching tennis and playing golf. Raymond will be remembered as a generous and giving man who lived his life with happiness.

Visitation for Raymond will be held Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Services will be held at 4:00 pm . Interment of cremains will be held privately at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
