Jeffrey J. Lovato, 54, of Dyer, Indiana, formerly of Blue Island, passed from this life July 16, 2023.

Jeff is the cherished son of Judith A. nee O’Callaghan and Richard J. Lovato. He is the beloved father of Logan (son of Melissa Laging, brother of Christian Laging-Suarez) Emily, Samantha and Joseph. Jeff is the loving brother of Debbie (Scott) Fontaine, Richie Lovato and Michelle (Miles) Krylowicz. He is the devoted uncle of Alyssa (Jamie), Stephanie, Makenna, Lexie, Sydney and great uncle of Benjamin. Jeff is the lifelong, best friend of Jimmy Meagher. He leaves many other family members and friends to cherish his memory.

Jeff was born November 1, 1968 in Evergreen Park. He was raised in Blue Island and attended the local schools. Jeff was very close to his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Michigan was his favorite place. He loved his water sports during the summer and snowmobiling during the winter. Jeff loved riding his motorcycle. However nothing brought him more joy than shooting pool with his son, Logan.

Visitation for Jeff will be held Friday, July 21, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation continues Saturday from 9:30 am until time of service at 11:30 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Cremation will be private.
