Obituary of Allan C. Filewicz

Allan C. Filewicz, lifelong resident of Blue Island, passed from this life Friday, July 7, 2023 at the age of 82.  Allan is the beloved brother of Richard (Cathy) Filewicz, the late Robert Filewicz and the late Kenneth Filewicz.  He is the cherished uncle of Diana Filewicz and Michelle Kreis and the loving great uncle of Ryan Cantway, Justin Cantway, Trent Kreis and Lukas Kreis.

Allan was a veteran of the United States Army.  He was formerly employed as a Data Systems Technician and his favorite hobby was astronomy.

Visitation for Allan will be held Tuesday, July 11, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.  Funeral services will begin Wednesday morning at 9:15 am with chapel prayers at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island then to St. Benedict Church, 2339 York St., Blue Island for Mass at 10:00 am.  Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 6001 W. 111th St., Alsip.
