Obituary of Luciano G. Tovar

Luciano G. Tovar, 60, of Blue Island, passed from this life June 16, 2023.

Luciano is the beloved husband of Judith nee Esparza. He is the cherished father of Mirella Tovar and Luciano (Cindi Chavez) Tovar III and his four legged son, Piccolo. Luciano is the dear brother of ten siblings, loving uncle of many nieces and nephews and cousin of many. He leaves many other family members and friends to cherish his memory.

Luciano was a huge sports fan however, his favorite soccer team was Club America. Although his family was most important to him, his love of animals came second, especially his dogs whom he treated like his children. He enjoyed eating, especially seafood.  He enjoyed hosting and entertaining as well as making sure everyone was taken care of.  Luciano was a great friend and never said no when asked to help someone. He will be remembered as a big prankster and jokester!

Visitation for Luciano will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Chapel prayers will begin Friday, June 23, at 9:15 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, then to St. Benedict Church/St. Mary Magdalene Parish for mass at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at St. Casimir Cemetery in Chicago.
