Juan M Alonso, 90, of Harvey, passed from this life June 13, 2023

Juan was the beloved husband of the late Guadalupe Alonso. He is the loving father of John Alonso and Yolanda (Manuel) Perez. Juan is the devoted grandfather of Dalila, Chris, Jamie, Viviana, Cindy, Jennifer and Karina and the proud great grandfather of thirteen. He is the dear brother of Luis Alonso. Juan leaves many other family members and friends to cherish his memory.

Juan was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a kind, giving man with a huge heart. Juan was admired by many and he received much joy by making people laugh. He took pleasure in woodworking and watching the Chicago Bulls. Juan also enjoyed eating sweets!

A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, June 28 at St. Benedict Church/St. Mary Magdalene Parish, 2339 York St., Blue Island at 10 am. The Memorial Mass will be immediately preceded by a visitation hour beginning at 9 am, also at St. Benedict Church/St. Mary Magdalene Parish. Cremation is private.
