From getting me my first job in the hospitality industry to giving advice and every other aspect of my life, Mr. Sawyer was there.
Sometimes stern, sometimes harsh, but you always knew where you stood with him. Honesty, integrity, and consistency.
He had a heart of gold, and regardless of the conversation, I always felt better after speaking to him or seeing him.
He went out of his way to help people, and was always good at giving dependable advice, even if once in a while, it was unsolicited. :). But, he always gave it with sincerity and with a great sense of humor!
He liked things simple and organized, in almost every aspect of his life. Those that knew him best have many examples of this.
Patti, Tom and Susan were lucky to have him as a dad, and I was incredibly blessed to have known him for the past 35 years.
