Mark L. Valencia, 54, of Blue Island, passed from this life Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

Mark is the beloved father of Mark (Nicole) Burklow, Taylor Valencia, Madelyn Valencia and Myah Valencia. He is the proud grandfather of Rylan, Damian, Ava, Nayeli and baby girl soon to be born. Mark is the loving son of Margaret M. nee Lugo (the late Richard) Mucha. He is the dear brother of Sam Valencia Jr., Dave Valencia, Laura (Art) Frausto and step-brother of Rich Mucha Jr. Mark is the uncle of Dan, David, Lauren and Marissa. He leaves many other family members and friends to cherish his memory.

Mark was a hard working man and a member of Local 1 Ironworkers. He was devoted to his children and grandchildren and loved nothing more than spending time with his family. Mark will also be remembered fondly as a “Foodie”!

Visitation for Mark will be held Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm with services at 5:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Cremation will be private.
