Edward R. Europa, 83, of Posen, formerly a longtime resident of Calumet Park, passed from this life Friday, May 5, 2023 in the IL Veterans Home Manteno. Edward was born on March 14, 1940 to the late Angel Europa and the late Irma nee Glatz. He is the loving bother of the late Angel Europa Jr., Dolores (Paul) Newman, Bob (Taunia) Europa, late Rose Marie Europa, Betty Ann (Mark) Lipscomb and the late Albert Europa. Edward is the cherished uncle of many nephews and one niece.

Edward was a veteran of the US Army, serving as a Heavy Truck Driver. He worked as a machinist most of his career. Edward was a graduate of Chicago Vocational High School, where he participated in Varsity Wrestling and played baseball for the Calumet Park Los Latinos. Edward loved to bowl but spent most of his time later in life taking care of his parents in their old age.

Edward’s cremation is private. His ashes will be interred in Abraham Lincoln National VA Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois.
