Maria E. Torres, 88, of Chicago, passed from this life Thursday, February 16, 2023. Maria is the beloved wife of the late Joaquin Torres, who passed away April 3, 2020. She is the loving mother of Rosamelia (Hilario) Soto, Cruz (Enrique) Nicolet, Francisca (Victor) Garcia, Manuel (Romana) Torres, Joaquin (Alejandra) Torres, Trinidad (Ernesto) Palacios, Bonifacia (Jose) Guerra, Socorro Torres, Sergio (Pina) Torress, Lourdes (Francisco) Sanchez, Guille (Gerardo) Espinoza and Humberto (Reina) Torres. Maria is the devoted grandmother of forty-seven and proud great grandmother of forty-two.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 20, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Holy Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 11533 S. Prairie St., Chicago. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Chicago.
