Charles M. Zemeckis, 80, formerly of Blue Island, passed from this life Monday, February 13, 2023.
Charles was the cherished husband of the late Catherine I. nee Christopher, who passed away November 11, 2007. He is the dear brother of Henry “Hank” (Jan) Zemeckis and the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Charles leaves many other family members and dear friends to cherish his memory.
Charles was born February 21, 1942 in Chicago to the late John and Cleora nee Schroeder Zemeckis. He was formerly employed by Tuthill Corporation as a Supervisor. Upon his retirement and the death of his cherished wife, he relocated to their home in Decatur, Michigan. For several years he enjoyed the comfort, peace and solace of Finch Lake.
Visitation for Charles will be held Monday, February 20, 2023, from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Evergreen Park.
