Guadalupe Alonso, 84, of Harvey, passed from this life January 29, 2023.

Guadalupe is the beloved wife of Juan M. Alonso. She is the loving mother of John Alonso and Yolanda (Manuel) Perez. Guadalupe is the devoted grandmother of Dalila, Chris, Jamie, Viviana, Cindy, Jennifer and Karina and the proud great grandmother of twelve. She is the dear sister of Irene Barboza, Rosa Rivera and the late Hortencia Suarez.

Guadalupe took pride in providing a warm and welcoming home. She enjoyed preparing delicious meals for her family and had a wonderful sense of humor. Guadalupe also liked to sing and dance, shop and watch telenovelas. Above all, her joy was being with her family and friends. Guadalupe loved nothing more than spending time with her grand and great grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at 9:30 am at St. Benedict Church/St. Mary Magdalene Parish, 2339 York St., Blue Island. Cremation was private.
