Obituary of Ramona Fernandez

Ramona Fernandez nee Flores, 90, of Blue Island, passed from this life Sunday, December 11, 2022. Ramona is the beloved wife of the late Rafael Fernandez who passed away January 28, 2021. She is the loving mother of Rafael (Jill) Fernandez. Ramona is the devoted grandmother of Zackary (Selene) Fernandez and Miguel Fernandez and the proud great grandmother of Giovanni, Jaziel and Esmeralda. She is the caring step-grandmother of Vicente (Christina) Orozco and step great grandmother of Elizabeth, Vicente Jr., Victoria and Anastacia. Ramona was the dear sister of the late Guadalupe Ricarte. She leaves many other family members and friends to cherish her memory.

Ramona was a lifelong, faithful member of St. Benedict Parish. She loved spending time with her family and friends, creating beautiful memories. Ramona enjoyed traveling and especially like to camp.

Visitation for Ramona will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 8:00 am until the time of prayer service at 9:15 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, then to St. Benedict Church, 2339 York St., Blue Island for mass at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at St. Casimir Cemetery.
