Rosa Chico, 85, of Alsip, passed from this life Thursday, November 10, 2022. Rosa was born July 15, 1937 in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to the late Angel and late Carmen Perez. Rosa is the beloved wife of Rafael Chico Sr. She is the loving mother of Rosa Chico, Carmen (James) Chico, Manuel Chico, Rodolfo (Chris) Chico, the late Rafael Chico Jr. and the late Wilma Maria Chico. She is the adored grandmother of Shannon, Cary, Oliver, Ava, Naomi, and the late Armando. Cherished great grandmother and great-great-grandmother to many beautiful grandchildren. Rosa is the dear sister to 15 siblings.

Rosa had a very strong religious faith. She was an extremely proud and active member of the parish formerly known as St. Benedict. Rosa was dedicated to serving the St. Benedict church community as well as many other Chicagoland catholic churches.

Visitation for Rosa will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 3pm-8pm. Chapel prayers will begin Wednesday at 9:15 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island then to St. Mary Magdalene Church (formerly St. Benedict Church) 2339 York St., Blue Island for mass at 10am. Interment will take place at St. Benedict Cemetery in Crestwood.
