Obituary of Helen M Dominici

Helen M. Dominici nee Eischen, 90, of Orland Park, passed from this life Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Helen is the beloved wife of the late John F. Dominici, who passed away December 12, 2020. They married on November 13, 1954 and celebrated 66 years of marriage.  She is the loving mother of Diane (Jerome) Chrapkiewicz, Dr. John T. Dominici, Thomas (Jeri) Dominici, Laura (Larry) Phipps, Jerome (Janet) Dominici and James (Maria) Dominici. Helen is the cherished grandmother of Cheryl (Kanon) Kysiak, Kerri Grencik, Tracy (Andre) Lopez, Larry Phipps, Jaclyn Dominici, Angela Dominici (Johnny Lerczak), Ashley Dominici, Erin Dominici, James Dominici Jr., Lauren Dominici, Andrea Dominici and Danielle Dominici. She is the proud great grandmother of Kolton Kysiak, Kaden Kysiak, Jordon Heath, Wyatt Lopez and Evan Phipps. Helen is the great great grandmother of Izabella Glotz.  Helen is the dear sister of Ted (late Virg) Eischen, late Tony (late Blossom) Eischen, and the late Larry (Late Bev) Eischen.

Helen was born October 10, 1931 in Chicago to the late Helen nee Therres and the late Theodore Eischen. Helen cherished her family dearly. On any given Sunday she could be found hosting family dinners which usually ended with a friendly card game.   She loved crocheting, playing bingo as well as many card games including pinochle, kings in the corner, and blackjack.  She was an avid reader, a great baker and was always willing to bring an apple pie or a tray of cookies wherever she went.   

Visitation for Helen will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Chapel prayers will begin Wednesday at 9:15 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, then to St. Mary Magdalene Church (formerly St. Benedict Church) 2339 York St., Blue Island, for mass at 10:00 am.  Live streaming will be available to the public beginning at 8:30 am on Wednesday until the time of mass at 10:00 am.  This can be accessed at http://www.memorialslive.com/hdominici. If unable to view live streaming, a recording of the services will be available Monday, August 29, 2022. Both can be found on the following link: www.memorialslive.com.  A private entombment of cremains will take place at Abraham Lincoln National VA Cemetery.
