George Patrick Hartigan Obituary

George Patrick Hartigan, 72, of Tinley Park, formerly of Chicago, passed from this life Saturday, June 25, 2022.

George was born February 25, 1950 in Chicago to the late Mary Louise nee Rivard and the late John Hartigan. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran, serving in Vietnam. George was employed as a safety manager at Citgo Oil Refinery and was formerly employed by Ford Motor Company for thirty-two years as head security officer. He was a faithful man of God and his family was his highest priority.

George is the beloved husband of Robin nee Mercede. He is the loving father of Elizabeth Hartigan Anderson, Jonathon Hartigan and Nicholas (Samantha) Hartigan and the cherished grandfather of Peyton Anderson, Elijah Anderson, Presley Adamski and Justin Benoit. George is the dear brother of Mary (Bill) Ray, Jeanne (Bob) Fazzi, Jim (Mary Ellen) Hartigan and Marie (Neil) Mitchell.

Cremation will be private. A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 10, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Moraine Valley Baptist Church, 6300 W. 127th St., Palos Heights, IL.
