Richard Allen Minnick, 59, of Blue Island, formerly of Chicago, passed from this life Thursday, June 16, 2022.

Richard was born February 22, 1963 in Chicago to the late Joyce Kathleen Minnick. He was a United States Navy veteran and served on the USS Midway. Richard was a faithful man of God and a lover of all God’s creations. He will be remembered as a modest, intelligent, kind hearted and funny man who enjoyed being outside in the sunshine. The crowning moment of Richards’s life was the birth of his son (sun).

Richard is the loving husband of Patricia A. Minnick nee Murphy. He is the beloved father of Cody (Marissa) Minnick and step-father of Matthew (Felicia) Stephens. Richard is the cherished brother of Tina Strangmann and the fond step-brother of Daniel and Rhonda. He is the dear uncle of Brittany and Ryan and the cherished son-in-law of Phyllis L. Murphy.

Cremation was private.
