Obituary of Ruth Martha Arvesen

Ruth M. Arvesen, 90, of Blue Island, passed from this life Friday, June 10, 2022. Ruth was born August 14, 1931 in Blue Island to the late Marie C. nee Klopp and the late Harold M. Arvesen. She was a lifelong resident of Blue Island and a life lay member of First Ev. Lutheran Church. Ruth served on the Altar Guild and “Women Of The Church”. She was formerly employed by Illinois Bell. Ruth was a former member of the Blue Island Woman’s Club where she served as treasurer. She also was a member of the English Springer Spaniel Club. Ruth was the beloved sister of the late Herman Arvesen, the late Harold Arvesen and the late Robert Arvesen. She is the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Ruth was a cherished friend to many and she will be dearly missed. Visitation for Ruth will he held Friday, June 17, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am at First Ev. Lutheran Church, Grove and Ann Sts., Blue Island. Interment will take place at First Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in Alsip.
