Manuel Martinez, 83, of Blue Island, passed from this life Thursday, June 2, 2022.
Manuel was born August 9, 1938 in Laredo, Texas. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Manuel found pleasure in his garden, growing beautiful tomatoes and hot peppers. He also spent his time refinishing furniture. Manuel was a master of two languages and will be remembered as a very patient man with a great sense of humor.
Manuel is the beloved husband of Kathryn nee Sperry. He is the loving father of Petra (William) Mosel, Mary (Ray) Bruno Jr., the late Rosalinda (Sergio) Barboza, Manuel (Silvia) Martinez, Andrew Martinez and the late Robert Martinez. Manuel is the cherished grandfather and great grandfather of many.
Visitation for Manuel will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Interment will take place at First Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in Alsip.
