Obituary of Dolores Lolita Valadez

Dolores "Lolita" Valadez, 87 of Blue Island, passed from this life Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Dolores was born November 28, 1934 in Mexico to the late Dolores and Jesus Lopez. She was a faithful member of St.Benedict Church and enjoyed gardening and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dolores was formerly employed at Blue Island Nursing Home. Dolores is the beloved wife of Abundio Valadez and the loving mother of the late Frances Valadez, Mary Ramirez, Jerry (Michelle) Valadez, Jesse Valadez, Arthur Valadez and Alma (Dennis) Ingram. Dolores is the cherished Abuela to nineteen grandchildren and thirty-four great grandchildren. She inspired many with her positive, cheerful outlook on life. A celebration of her life will be held with a visitation Tuesday, January 25, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at St. Mary Magdalene/St. Benedict Church, 2339 York St., Blue Island. Chapel prayers and last respects will take place at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 Greenwood Ave., Blue Island on Wednesday, January 26, at 9:00am. Holy Mass will immediately follow at 10:00am at St. Mary Magdalene/St. Benedict Church in Blue Island. Interment St. Benedict Cemetery in Crestwood.
