Obituary of Mary Jane Zielinski

Mary Jane Zielinski nee Konsoer, 89, of Crestwood, formerly of Blue Island, passed from this life Tuesday, November 23, 2021. Mary Jane was born December 21, 1931 in Blue Island. She was the beloved wife of the late James R. Zielinski who passed away February 14, 1978 and is the loving mother of the late James Zielinski, Linda (Tom) Hankus, Patricia (Steve) Rouse and Jeannette (Kurt) Pratt. She is the devoted grandmother of Jamie, Lindsey and Macrae and the proud great grandmother of Frank. Mary Jane is the dear sister of the late Frank Bogdan Jr., Donna Davis, and Michael (Judy) Bogdan. She is the adored aunt of many nieces and nephews. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Angeline nee Anastasia and Frank Bogdan. Mary Jane lived a full life as a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. She had many wonderful friends from church and loved to host parties. Mary Jane lost her husband at a very young age of 46. At the time of her husband’s death, she had two adult children married and on their own. Leaving behind two younger children at home to raise on her own. She was not only a mother but a father to the younger children after her husband Jim passed away. Mary Jane had wonderful support from her family and her friends from church. After the two younger kids were grown, Mary Jane took a part time job working in the jewelry business. There she met two wonderful ladies that became great friends. The gals started to travel together. Many great road trips and many great memories were shared. Mary Jane loved her crafts and especially coloring books. As life went on Mary faced many health challenges but never ever complained. She always had a positive attitude no matter the challenge. She was a great Mom. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Visitation for Mary Jane will be held Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10:30 am at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Interment will take place at Beverly Cemetery.
