Ruth Alice Creighton (Frasor) age 86, formerly of Blue Island, IL passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021. She was a graduate of Academy of Our Lady (Longwood Academy), Chicago, received a BA from the University of Illinois - Chicago and MA in Theology from Loyola University - Chicago . Ruth was a woman of many talents and interests. A teacher and writer, her deep faith led her to serve as Director of Religious Education at both Holy Cross Parish in Champaign, IL and St. Michaels Parish in Orland Park, IL, as well as Graduate Counselor at Loyola University of Chicago's Institute of Pastoral Studies. She taught principals of the Enneagram to both corporations and private groups and published The Enneagram Educator newsletter. Ruth moved to Winter Park, Florida in 1996, joining St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church where she facilitated multiple faith sharing groups. She also enjoyed researching the genealogy of her Frasor family and discovered an extensive family tree dating back to the early 1800s. Ruth was preceded in death by husband Robert E. Creighton, son John Francis, parents Lowell J. and Alice C. Frasor, brother Richard Frasor and grandaughter Madeline. She is survived by her sons Paul (Theresa), Andrew (Katherine), James, and Peter, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 11am at St Benedict's Catholic Church, 2339 York St, Blue Island IL. The family invites you to the memorial visitation at the church beginning at 10am.
