Obituary of Felix A. Laskey

Felix A. Laskey of Calumet Park passed from this life Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the age of 98. Felix was born February 23, 1923 in Midlothian to the late Agnes and the late Phillip Laskey. He is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Jane nee Jurek, and 2 loving children, Katherine Taylor and Robert Laskey. One dear son, James, preceded him in death in 1973. Felix is also the cherished grandfather of Jennifer Dravland, the proud great grandfather of Owen Dravland and Taylor Dravland and the fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Felix was a veteran of the US Army during World War II. He was employed as a mechanical engineer for Borg Warner/Ingersoll and served as a Calumet Park Trustee for many years. Felix was a member of the American Legion and the Seven Holy Founders Holy Name Society. Felix loved playing cards, solving puzzles, bowling, golf and fishing. He enjoyed getting together with family and friends for a good meal or a card game. Visitation for Felix will be held Saturday, October 23, from 10:00 am until time of the service at 12:00 noon at the Krueger Funeral Home, 13050 S. Greenwood Ave., Blue Island. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 6001 W. 111th St., Alsip.
